“I’ll apologize to Melania when she apologizes to the country.”
According to The Daily Beast, Stormy Daniels made this statement during the first stop in her tell-all tour, "An Intimate Evening with Stormy Daniels," at the comedy club Stand Up NY.
Allegedly, Daniels was paid hush money by President Trump to keep their alleged affair a secret from the public. During the question-and-answer portion of her routine, Daniels said that she did not know who was a worse person, Trump or her former lawyer Michael Avenatti, who is currently facing multiple federal charges of wire and bank fraud.
When asked if she ever was attracted to Avenatti, Daniels said that she was never alone with Avenatti and jested: “He’s too short for me, and he thought he was prettier and that’s a huge problem for me.”
Things turned political when someone in the audience asked Daniels: "Should Trump be impeached?"
She went on to answer, “Well, I think it’s unfair that the president of the United States isn’t held to the same rules that any other citizen would be held to. Allowing someone to get away with things that are definitely illegal sets a terrifying precedent for anyone who comes into office after him.”
Daniels received cheers and applause from the audience.
Towards the end of her performance, she stated that Trump could be caught "raping kittens" on camera and still be set free.
"Allowing someone to get away with things that are definitely illegal sets a very terrifying precedent. It’s basically a green light to do whatever the fuck you want if you get elected," she said.
When asked if she gets offended that Donald Trump denies that they ever had sex, Daniels quickly answered: “It doesn’t offend me. I mean, he also thinks climate change isn’t real.”
