In Interview, Barbra Streisand Explains Her Theory For Why Millions Of Women Voted For Trump

The 76-year old American singer, Barbra Streisand, shares in the November issue of Daily Mail’s “Weekend” magazine, that some of the female voters who had voted for President Donald Trump “don’t believe enough in their own thoughts,” and also shares that, “A lot of women vote the way their husbands vote.”

She is also known as one of Hollywood’s most prominent Democrats, and has previously stated that 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton “who’s so articulate, so experienced and so fit for the presidency was too intimidating,” and  “Perhaps she made women feel unsuccessful.”

As Streisand is shown to be a critic of President Trump, more of her remarks state that the female voters have been “motivated by ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”

“It was perfect timing, so I just did it,” she further states.

“I believe in truth and that if I’m truthful in what I’m singing about that comes across as being passionately upset with what is happening to my country,” Streisand reportedly states in the magazine.

“I love my country,” says the Oscar winner, “and it’s painful to see democracy being assaulted, institutions being assaulted and women being assaulted.”

“There’s a war between people who want to live in the future and look forward to the future, and people who want to live in the past.”

With these in mind, she created an album in protest of the President Trump, and that she still chooses to remain as an active supporter of Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid.

Her new album, as she describes is “‘Raw”’ and that she states, ``I've never thought of that word for it. But you’re right. Prozac dulls your senses. When my mother was on it she forgot to be angry. She had dementia as well and she forgot that she was always very angry, but that pill really helped.”
