The Rebel’s Keean Bexte repeatedly asked Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar to comment on recent fraud accusations, to which she repeatedly ignored.
“Ilhan, if I could get a moment of your time, could you tell me why you filed illegal tax returns in 2014 and 2015?” Bexte asks. “Can you tell me definitively or not, is Ahmed Elmi your brother? Is he your brother?” Bexte asked.
Moreover, no matter how many times Omar refuses to answer these questions, these allegations are now getting a little sunlight in the mainstream media.
“New investigative documents released by a state agency have given fresh life to lingering questions about the marital history of Rep. Ilhan Omar and whether she once married a man — possibly her own brother — to skirt immigration laws,” The Tribune wrote this past weekend.
Daily Wire reporter Ryan Saavedra tweeted: "Tucker Carlson on Ilhan Omar's alleged marriage and immigration fraud: Omar herself could probably clear that up if she wanted to but so far her office has persistently refused to answer any questions on the matter.”
It was previously reported that Omar repeatedly violated campaign finance law by using campaign funds to pay for personal expenses while serving on the state legislature in 2016 and 2017, according to the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.
“I had observed a long pattern. Representative Omar hasn’t followed the law. She’s repeatedly trampled on the laws of the state in a variety of areas, and gotten by with it,” Minnesota GOP State Rep. Steve Drazkowski said in a statement.
According to the Board’s findings, Omar also filed joint tax returns with her current husband, Ahmed Hirsi, in 2014 and 2015. This is even though she was still engaged in civil marriage with his now-former husband Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
According to Bexte's report, the documents he reviewed “indicate that while Omar was allegedly married to her brother, she was also living with another husband in Minneapolis.”
