The June 27th Democratic Primary debate saw the democratic candidates showing support for government healthcare plans covering America’s illegal immigrants. However, a study finds that it will be a costly decision - one that would cost taxpayers around tens of billions of dollars annually.
Although the campaign’s candidates showed their united support regarding the implementation of the government’s healthcare plans for “undocumented” and illegal alien immigrants, President Trump and the Republicans in the White House disagreed, with Trump stating that it was “the end of the race.”
Trump tweeted, “All Democrats just raised their hands for giving millions of illegal aliens unlimited healthcare. How about taking care of American Citizens first!? That’s the end of that race!”
The report stated:
“Numbers aside, the fact that presidential candidates are advocating spending billions of dollars on people who are in the country illegally is significant in its own right. It suggests that allowing in large numbers of less-educated workers will inevitably generate significant political pressure to provide them access to social programs.”
"Notwithstanding any other provision of law ... an individual who is an alien (without regard to the immigration status of that alien) may not be denied any federal public benefit solely on the basis of the individual’s immigration status,” the proposed healthcare bill reads.
